WORLD DAY OF PRAYER OF THE SICK
Thursday, February 11, 2021 6:30pm - Blessed Sacrament Parish
February 11th is World Day of Prayer of the Sick, an observation introduced by Saint John Paul II as a way for believers to offer prayers for those suffering from illnesses. The day coincides with the commemoration of Our Lady of Lourdes and is an important opportunity for those serving in health ministries of all kinds to know our gratitude and prayerful support.
We ask that those who are not felling well to know and feel the prayerful support of our faith community, but to remain home and join us in prayer, as the mass will be livestreamed on our Facebook page, The Parishes of Holy Cross & Blessed Sacrament.
"The commandment of love that Jesus left to his disciples is also kept in our relationship with the sick.
A society is all the more human to the degree that it cares effectively for its most frail and suffering members, in a spirit of fraternal love. Let us strive to achieve this goal so that no one will feel alone, excluded or abandoned."
