A Message from Monsignor Delaney on the Challenges of This Lenten Season

Dear Friends,

What a very strange Lenten desert we're in. We are never alone, though worry, anxiety and isolation may weigh heavily. Last week we were reminded "hope will not leave us disappointed, because the love of Christ has been poured into our hearts." You are all in my heart, my prayers. We walk this unusual Lenten path to Calvary with Jesus and one another.

While there is no public Mass at this time, I remember you all at the Lord's table daily. While we have no public gatherings or meetings, please call your neighbors to check in with each other. Our Churches will be open, unless we are instructed differently, from 7:30 am until 1:00 pm daily. You are welcome to come to pray (the adoration chapel is closed, please do not use the adoration chapel) during these times.

I am most grateful to you for your generosity in remembering to continue your financial support as we move forward in this crisis.

I am available by appointment for those who would like to go to confession or feel the need to talk.

We are still collecting non-perishable food items to share with local food pantries.

Our Wednesday lunch is cancelled, but daily lunch is still available at St. Francis Kitchen at 11:00 am each day.

"Pray for us, Mary our Mother, for our parishes, community, nation and world. We lift up our families and loved ones, all those already afflicted we pray for healing and deliverance. Keep us in the embrace of your arms, help us to know the love of your Son, Jesus." Amen.

United in His love and service,

Monsignor Delaney
