SOCIAL CONCERNS COMMITTEE NEWS

1. Non-perishable Food Drive. This drive is conducted through the month of November each weekend. Food donated will be given to our local food pantries. Please help us to serve needy families in our community.

2. Pampered Chef Party- If you missed the Pampered Chef Party, it is not too late to place an order. You can shop on-line at PamperedChef.com; look for Chris Posly as the host. The party will close on 12/3 and orders will arrive in time for holiday baking or holiday gift giving! Proceeds will benefit programs for drug and alcohol abuse treatment within the Diocese.

3. Giving Tree- Our annual Giving Tree supports Catholic Social Service and makes Christmas a little brighter for so many children in our area thanks to your generosity. This year Holy Cross will be supporting St. Anthony’s Haven, a shelter for men and women and Blessed Sacrament will support St. Joseph’s Center. Gifts are to be unwrapped and are due back by the weekend of December 9th and 10th.
